Benefits

The Siberian Husky Club of NSW is about connecting with other people who share your passion for Siberian huskies.  Whether you are a breeder or an owner - or both - the club works hard to run events and provide resources that are of benefit to members as well as the Siberian husky breed.

One of the greatest benefits your membership will bring is the quarterly SHCNSW magazine, "The Husky Howler".  This informative publication is loaded with articles on health, nutrition, shows, sledding and members' stories. We try to cover as many different topics as we can, and are always open to suggestions for articles from our membership too.

Members receive discounts on entry fees to most club events, including conformation shows and sledding events, and also enjoy priority booking for accommodation at various venues too.

Members also receive discounts on selected merchandise, particularly books & videos of interest to husky owners.

The club attends many expos and promotions throughout the year such as the Rosehill Pet Expo and the The Sydney Royal Easter Show.  All our member helpers get free admission and parking for these events.

Members can organise social events such as off-leash days at parks, and fun walks as part of our Husky User Groups programme.  See the H.U.G.s page for details.

Members have access to a items in the club library at any time.  Contents of the library are published in each edition of The Howler.

Club members often receive freebies such as breakfasts & lunches at our social events such as the annual Picnic in the Park, the Info & Open Day and various sledding events.

Members who keep their membership current or participate in a variety of club events are automatically entered into a number of member prize draws conducted throughout the year.  Details are published in The Howler.

The club Committee is here to help meet the needs of its members, and member enquiries on any topic are always welcome and are treated with priority.
