How to get to Nurragingy
  
The entrance is off Knox Road, Doonside. Car and bus parking is available inside the reserve in designated parking areas. The site is a short walk from Doonside Railway Station, down Cross Street and across Knox Road.
 
Activities on the Day
 
A range of fun activities for you to join in with your dog commence from 11:30am.

Bring the family, a picnic and maybe a few snags.
 Don't forget the dogs and a bowl for their water.
 Most of these events are held in heats of 5 participants, and entry is free.
 

1.     T shirt dress race: Owners to dress their dog in a T shirt and run a set distance with the T shirt intact. Dog to remain on leash.

2.     Baldest Siberian Husky: show off your hairless dog the one which you have spent 3 weeks brushing and vacuuming the floors over.

3.     11 legged race: Teams made up of two people and two dogs. The inner legs of the people are tied together. Dogs on leash at all times. The teams race over a set distance.

4.     Vocal dog: Dog who can make the loudest noise

5.     Tricks: each dog does a trick - on or off leash.  Spectators vote for the winner!

6.     Biscuit toss: how many biscuits can your dog catch in sequence without dropping one?

7.     At 1:00pm a Parade of Veterans will be held, for all dogs over 7 years of age.  Trophies will be presented for the oldest dog and bitch at this event!

8.     Followed by - Parade of rescue dogs!  Your opportunity to say a few words about the dog who has come to share your life and home

 

  Plenty of doggy treats as prizes on offer for your dog's enjoyment
