The Map below shows you how to get to Grabine.
The quickest way is up to Goulburn and out to Crookwell.
Where is Grabine Lakeside?
Only a couple of hours drive from Canberra, or about four hours from Sydney, Grabine Lakeside is 83 km north-west of the Southern Tablelands town of Crookwell. It is centrally located between the main regional centres of Goulburn, Bathurst and Cowra. Taking the Bigga Road from Goulburn, it's 122 km.
Grabine Lakeside
Fabulous scenery awaits the visitor to Grabine Lakeside's 800 hectares of rural landscape on the north east shores of Lake Wyangala. Experience views of the landscapes that inspired generations of Australian impressionist artists. The land slopes gently up from the lake foreshores, rising to a steep escarpment with huge granite boulders to the east from where magnificent views are caught.
Day-trippers come for barbecues, picnics and short, scenic walks. Families, small and large groups take advantage of the affordable accommodation to experience everything Grabine Lakeside has to offer, including bushwalks, native wildlife, good fishing and pleasure boating. Campers can pitch a tent anywhere along the foreshores. Amenities throughout the park have disabled access. Dogs are permitted, but must be kept on a lead. Grabine for a great holiday experience.
Grabine Trails
The Trails that we are utilising for the SHCNSW Sled Dog Sheild consist of existing trails as well as some very fresh new sections that meander along the fore shore of Wyangala Dam, that we are developing with the assistance of the Park Trust.
These trails will provide a spectacular sight at night as you will be able to watch the competitors from the comfort of the big bonfire at the Camp Kitchen, as they meander their way around the lake foreshore through the trees and finally home.
